Wow, Beth Gibbons' solo album sounds so much like Portishead (very Dummy-ish). She offers 30-second sound clips from each of the tracks off of the album, so check them out (I especially like Mysteries--Track One).
In recent news, upstate is frosted with a foot (more or less by now) of powdered snow. The grave blizzard that offered pitch-white fright for a Long Islander like myself (since blizzards happen about the time of Easter for us) is an omen of an even worse winter than last year. I graduated from high school and attended a Central New York college at the right time of "global warming" (if that is the evil factor in all of this).
Sadly, my snow pants are too tight on me (it was the freshman-three for me). Oh, well...

Speaking to my love last night, I stumbled upon a moving speech about ourselves. It woke me up to realize that I've been far too immature these past several years. It's time to move on and step on the dirt I've long tucked under the carpet. It's time to walk out that door and take a walk with him. It's time to forget.
Our one-year anniversary weekend went very well. As usual, we laughed through many adventures. We rented a room in Vestal to get AWAY, FAR AWAY from Oneonta: away from friends; away from school; away from those four ugly-yellow walls. Just him and me in a pseudo-city west of Binghamton. Where did we go? WAL-MART! Every date ends with a trip to Wal-Mart, usually to get candy or buy cheap-ass movies. The get-away to a cheap motel where the neighbors were doin' it all night long (don't rednecks ever sleep?) allowed us to talk about things other than "Oh, my God, Jen please edit this" or "Sean, does my essay make sense?" School was out of our minds and we were able to speak freely about whatever. However, we basically did exactly what we always do on weekends: watch tv and drink juice out of the bottle (we're too lazy--and I'm too clumsy--to use cups).
I see this first-year anniversary as New Year's. I'm supressing my low self-esteem; the American-flag-in-the-background speech I gave last night made me realize how lucky I am. Sean is love, in my eyes. It runs through his veins and he breathes it. It's what he sees the world with or embraces me with. His hair is delightfully oily with it. It passes through, enters and leaves, only to return again. I understand I'm being too poetic, but my love for him is immeasurable. I could drown the universe in it a hundred times over and there'd still be so much leftover so that he could devour it for life.
When he sees my words, he shall murder them with his eyes and digest the parts in his mind. I'll dance the tango by myself so we can live forever knowing how true this is. This is purity; this is love.
My Pumpkin, My Love, My Sean...
Happy One-Year Anniversary (9.27.2003)!
I love you :-*

Well it's approaching that time... Kill Bill will be released in theaters on October 10th. The information on the link above provides an interesting twist to what the movies is made of. Cast includes Michael Madsen (spelling?), Uma Thurman (of course), Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu (spelling?), and SONNY CHIBA (Watch "Truce Romance" to understand). Apparantly there's a novel that he released this past spring to throw off the fans when watching the film. It has been decided that the film will be shown in two parts (90 minutes each) at about two to six months apart (between December and April). Also, there's Japanese Anime.
Woo, woo! :)
who cares about matrix 3 (which comes out less than a month after kill bill)? the second one blew.
